WomenRide-Promopost

Calling out to all women riders for the Hero MTB Himalaya Women’s edition known as Hero MTB Shimla women 2016, a two day event set across Shimla, more popularly known as The Queen of the Hills. Himalayan Adventure Sports Tourism and Promotion (HASTPA) is conducting the race to promote the green and clean sport of mountain biking amongst the women.

The race, endorsed by the Indian Brand Ambassador – Vamini Sethi, aims at giving every woman a chance to pursue her passion of mountain biking. Daredevil Vamini recently undertook an expedition across Sri Lanka to break the stereotype surrounding women in India with mountain biking as the medium.  She completed the ride over a span of 9 days covering 1111kms across the island country. Incredibly energetic about the sport, she wants to promote the sport among women as well as motivate ladies to pursue their dreams while dealing with a career and home. The journey started with a motive to empower and inspire women and we have taken the initiative to bolster the development of the sport in the country.

The race will take you through the beautiful and serene parts of the Shivalik Mountains also called the Foothills of the Himalayas. The race shouts to women from all spheres of life – from the corporate to a housewife, a nature lover, a mother, a daughter. Passing through sanctuaries, Himalayan farmland, streams and rivulets, you will experience unadulterated Himalayas at first hand on your bike.

The two day event will cover a approximately 60 kms as you ride through the best landscape in India while you meet the most astonishing people.
