Day 8 – Vamini’s Ride Across Sri Lanka

Determined to break the stereotype around women , Vamini Sethi has undertaken the challenge to ride crosswise over Sri Lanka. The expedition is supported by HASTPA and sponsored by UT Edge to promote mountain biking. The race spans over 9 days, covering more than 1000 kms.The valiant Vamini and Ashish started the expedition on 14 June 2015 and has moved into Day 8 of the journey riding through relentless winds , but determined to reach the goal.
Moving into the 8th day of the ride , the dauntless riders will be setting their course to Puttalam via the old Sri Lankan capital city of Anuradhapuram. Moving closer to the target, they are looking at covering close to 138 km cutting across mainland Sri Lanka.
